November 15, 2009 Meeting

For our well-attended Nov. 15th meeting (I stopped counting at 50 people; we were full to the seams) we were blessed with two speakers, speaking with the unified voice of the Holy Spirit.
Brother Jay Lingle from Trinity shared with us, from Pslam 57 and from personal experience, about not only trusting God but praising him through trials, no matter how deep, no matter how long.
Brother Atif Jamil Paggan, from Pakistan, shared with us from his personal experience as a human rights advocate the persecution and murder that the church faces in that country at the hands of members of the majority Muslim community. His message was also one of trusting and praising God through trials, deep and long indeed. As we serve the Prince of Peace, we are called to bring his love and peace through salvation to all, even to those who persecute us.
Please pray for the church the world over, but in Pakistan specifically, that God may strengthen and protect them, and use them for His service even through the horrific conditions that they face. And, please pray, asking God: "Father, what is my role? How can I be part of the movement to free the church from oppression and spreading the gospel throughout the world?"
