6 Feb 2011: Greg Stuckey--How can we be the workers?
Week's Announcements: We are having a baby shower the 13th for Leti. Call Annette during the week for more information. At the end of March we will have a weekend seminar, of which Mauro has details. During July (7th-10th) we have our annual Hispanic Conference featuring Pastor Sergio Handal, missionary living in Monterrey, Mexico. Any within the Hispanic church who wish to be baptized at this time should contact Annette ahead of time. Also contact Annette to find out in what areas volunteers are still needed for the conference.
Jackie is giving music lessons during the week, and you can contact her directly for more information. Speaking of music, we need musicians, singers, sound technicians for our Hispanic services. Willingness to answer God's call on your life is the greatest qualification, above musical talent. Contact Mauro, Annette, Joe, Dawn, Jackie, or Cesar to get involved.
Greg Stuckey spoke at our meeting on 6 Feb 2011, observing that just as the Superbowl features millions of "viewers" watching only a few "players," so in the church we have many watchers and few doers, few workers. He shared with us some practical steps we can take to stop being those watchers, and start being the doers, the workers, from I Peter 4:7-11. We love Greg and his family very much and appreciate their service to our church family.
Please consider joining us for our upcoming 7pm Friday Bible study and fellowship meal and for our 5pm Sunday worship service, both held at our location on S. Cashua St. ¡Que Diós te bendiga!
